Brooks Nader is stepping into one of television’s most iconic uniforms, and she’s doing so with confidence. After joining the cast of FOX’s upcoming Baywatch reboot, Nader has faced a surge of online criticism questioning her casting. In a recent interview, however, she dismissed the backlash, making it clear she remains unfazed by the reaction.

Addressing the backlash, Brooks Nader pointed to a broader shift in how audiences perceive talent in today’s media landscape. She told The Daily Mail that the industry has evolved. “I think the times are different and everyone is so multi-hyphenate now, and you can be both an actor and an influencer and have influence,” Nader said. Rather than treating her background as a limitation, she framed it as part of a cultural shift. “That’s the beauty of the culture that social media has created,” the model said.

Nader credited platforms like Instagram and TikTok for changing how people build careers in entertainment. She noted that in earlier decades, actors didn’t have the same direct connection to audiences or the ability to shape their own narratives. “We now have platforms. During the 90s, you didn’t have social media, you didn’t have Instagram or TikTok, and so people could use their voice now, and I think as long as they’re using it for good… I think that it’ll bring a vibe to the show,” Nader explained. The reboot also features Noah Beck in a principal role, while Livvy Dunne will appear as a recurring character playing a junior lifeguard.
Brooks Nader expressed confidence in the project, saying the team will do “everyone justice” with the show. “I think that there are so many amazing platforms and voices that are on the show, in the cast, and I think it’ll only help the series,” she said. “Baywatch was such an iconic series, and we have such a stacked cast of amazing talent. And so I know everyone’s gonna love it. It’s amazing,” Nader added.
