Burger King unveils new service changes after customer complaints, including ‘Whopper Guarantee’

Burger King is rolling out new in‑restaurant changes after months of gathering customer complaints through an initiative that invited people to call or text the chain’s president directly.

The fast‑food company announced two updates this week aimed at addressing the issues customers most often raised: incorrect orders and difficulty getting help inside restaurants.

To better assist customers, the chain introduced a new position called the Your Way Champion, a revised manager role meant to give customers a clear point of contact when something goes wrong.

The company said these employees will be clearly identifiable in Your Way Champion uniforms and will be responsible for greeting customers, monitoring order accuracy, and resolving problems in real time.

Burger King is also introducing a “Whopper Guarantee,” promising to remake its signature burger if it isn’t served hot or prepared as ordered.

Customers who receive a Whopper that doesn’t meet expectations will get an immediate replacement and a free Whopper on their next visit, the company said.

“When we asked guests where we could do better, they gave us a lot of honest feedback, and now it’s our responsibility to act on it,” Tom Curtis, president of Burger King United States and Canada, said in a statement. “We’re not going to get everything right every single time, but we’re committed to listening intently and improving every day.”

The updates stem from Burger King’s “Listening Initiative,” launched earlier this year, which invited customers to share honest feedback with Curtis directly.
