Cardinals to start Jacoby Brissett in Week 10 as Kyler Murray continues recovery
Jacoby Brissett will get at least one more turn as the Arizona Cardinals' starting quarterback. But coach Jonathan Gannon is holding off on making any proclamations about the team's plans behind cener.
Gannon announced Tuesday that Brissett will be the team's starter for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. He added, however, that the decision comes as Kyler Murray, who continues to recover from a foot injury that has sidelined him for the last three games, continues to work his way back.
Brissett is coming off a 27-17 win against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night in which he threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-31 passing.
"I do like what the offense is doing right now," Gannon said in a news conference on Nov. 4. "We've operated well, and we'll go from there."

Gannon insisted after the win over the Cowboys, however, that he wasn't considering a change behind center for good despite the results of the past few games. The Cardinals have averaged 25.7 points with Brisset at the helm and just 18.8 in Murray's starts. Brissett has thrown for more than 260 yards in the last three weeks, while Murray has yet to eclipse 220 this season.
"Nothing's changed on that," Gannon said on Nov. 3.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday, Nov. 4 that doctors told Murray and the Cardinals that a timetable for recovery would be anywhere from four to eight weeks, with an increased risk of reaggravating the injury unless it has properly healed. Murray suffered the injury in Week 5.
