Cheryl Hines is hitting back at what she sees as the incorrect media portrayal of her husband.
During a recent appearance on the "Joe Rogan Experience," the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" actress, 60, defended her spouse, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., against criticism that his policies as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services have "hurt people." Kennedy, 72, the son of onetime attorney general Robert Kennedy, is the nation's top public health official and has drawn bipartisan criticism for his handling of various issues such as vaccines and unsubstantiated links between Tylenol and autism.
"When people talk about Bobby and they want to paint him as somebody who is trying to hurt people," Hines told Rogan, "It's like look at his career and who he is and what he’s accomplished."

Hines said Kennedy "spent a lot of time suing huge corporations because they were polluting waterways, which was hurting people, killing people and giving people cancer," referencing her husband's time as an environmental activist. "So why would he spend all of his life fighting for people, fighting for individuals, and then suddenly change and want to hurt people?
"It just doesn’t track," she said.

Hines' comments come several months after the actress' tense clash with hosts of "The View" over her husband's views.
During the show, Hines discussed her husband's journey from 2024 presidential candidate to a member of President Donald Trump's administration. While calling her husband's decision to back Trump "complicated," she also said Kennedy and the president realized they "have a lot of common goals."
"For Bobby to, in the course of a year and a half, two years, go from a Democrat to now working with President Trump − that's a leap," Hines said. "But also it's a leap of faith."
Several hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin, questioned Hines about Kennedy's background and qualifications for his role as HHS secretary.
"He's not a doctor and he's not a professional," Goldberg said. "And often times when he's talking, often times when he's speaking, he is speaking not with the best information that we can get."
Hines praised Kennedy's background as an environmental lawyer, saying, "He sued DuPont, he sued Exxon and he sued these companies for health reasons because they were causing health problems."
