The Daily Show has delivered a scathing critique of Donald Trump by showcasing European perspectives on the United States.

In a recent segment, correspondent Jordan Klepper traveled overseas to gauge European sentiment about Trump and America's global standing. In the piece titled "Europeans vs Trump's America," Klepper noted, "Even if Europeans feel threatened, they have one consolation," before a woman said, "Honestly, I'm just happy that I'm not living in the USA. Most people that I talk to, like, don't want to go there anymore."

The segment aired as Jon Stewart torched Trump over using decoys in a harsh critique.

"We just want to boycott the USA right now," another person stated, while a third woman remarked, "I have lost very much respect for America after they continue to support Trump."

"I remember the first time he was elected, and I was like, 'They will never elect him.' And they still did. And I was very surprised then, and I'm equally surprised now."

When Klepper asked the woman whether she'd lost respect for the United States, she simply replied, "Yeah," reports the Irish Star.

Attempting to lighten the mood, the Daily Show comedian said, "But come on, we've done so many other good things. Have you seen Severance season two?"

"Oh, it was great," another woman responded, before Klepper concluded, "You're welcome, Europe. Sincerely, America."

After the segment aired, Daily Show viewers took to Instagram to voice their opinions, with one writing, "It's been very interesting to watch the decline of the USA empire and even more interesting to watch how a huge number of the US citizens seem to be completely unaware of that."

A second viewer noted, "As an American living in Europe, this is near unanimous on the ground in Europe."

A third chimed in, "Anyway, thanks for giving Europe a shove in the direction of enhanced unity. That was long overdue.

"As a proud but embarrassed American, I feel the same way about Trump and what he's doing to our country. Europeans, please be patient- change is coming, God willing," commented a fourth.

Earlier this year, Stewart delivered a pointed Daily Show monologue, declaring, "Look, Donald Trump is without a doubt one of the most prodigious liars this country has ever produced. He's our Supreme Misleader.

"But the chaos this very actual war is creating is making us question even his reality-distorting powers. Let's step back into the Wayback Machine. All the way back, I don't know, June, when Israel and the United States first bombed Iran's nuclear program."

Stewart proceeded to screen multiple clips of Trump making false statements. Meanwhile, Trump 'diaper' rumors exploded as the president was pictured 'inflating' from behind.
