Henry opened up about how his love of being a girl dad is in part inspired by Kobe Bryant

Derrick Henry is officially a girl dad three times over.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the 32-year-old running back for the Baltimore Ravens spoke to PEOPLE at Media Row and announced that he had welcomed a third baby girl with girlfriend Adrianna Rivas.

"We just had a new baby girl," he gushes while talking about what's been keeping him busy in the off-season. "So my third girl, three girls in a row. I'm a girl dad."

Continuing, Herny shouts out all of the other dads who love having daughters. For him, that includes Kobe Bryant, who helped coin the term "girl dad" through his love of his daughters — Gianna, Natalia, Bianka and Capri.

"I'm a big Kobe Bryant fan, so, you know, I kind of got the same mentality with the girls," he shares.

The NFL star previously welcomed his older daughters, Valentina, 5, and Celine, 1, with Rivas, whom he's been dating since 2016. Henry hasn't confirmed his newest addition's name yet.

Speaking about his little girls, he said that he can't get enough time with them and loves "watching them grow up."

"My 5-year-old, she's playing basketball now and soccer. So just watching her and watching that competitive spirit grow. Then my 1-year-old, who will be 2 in April, [is] watching her big sister and can't wait for her time to go play sports," he says.

He adds that his older girls can't get enough of being big sisters, explaining, "We can't keep them off of her."

Henry describes fatherhood as a "blessing" but admits that it can be "a grind." He has no regrets, though, saying, "I'm thankful to be able to have three and be the best dad that I can be. It's the best title you have in this life."

Asked if he and his girls spend time with his teammates and their children, Henry recalls a group of NFL parents going trick-or-treating for Halloween together.

"Then some of our kids play during the off-season," he adds, saying that he and his teammates "go downstairs and talk and have a good time. But it's always fun whenever your teammates and your teammates' kids, you know, get to know each other and build that relationship. That's special."

Something else that was special for Henry this year was getting to partner with Oikos to film his first Super Bowl commercial alongside Kathryn Hahn.

He describes Hahn as being as funny in person as she comes across on screen, saying that it "was cool to able to meet her and get to know her."

"I feel like everybody's gonna enjoy and think it's funny," he says of the clip, which will air during Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Feb. 8.

Hyping up the brand for their protein-rich offerings, he says, "It fuels me on and off the field."
