Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is being revamped after closing down.
As of Monday, March 2, the iconic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith was stripped of all remnants of the rock band, one day after closing down. It is set to be replaced by the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
In a video posted by a Disney fan on TikTok on Monday, the word “Aerosmith” is seen being removed from the ride’s sign. An Aermosith poster outside the ride has also been covered up, per Disney news site, WDWMagic.

Another TikTok clip shows a wooden wall constructed around the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster amid its transformation into the new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
Fan favorite, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith shut down permanently on Sunday, March 1, after 27 years. It is expected to reopen under its new guise in the summer of 2026.
The roller coaster now displays a Muppets-tribute sign at the entrance that reads, "We're Moving Right Along. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is currently closed as we load in the band!” This is a reference to the Muppets' song "Movin' Right Along" by the Muppet band The Electric Mayhem from The Muppet Movie.

In June 2025, park officials announced the Muppets as the new hosts of the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, replacing Aerosmith after launching the ride with the band in 1999. This comes after Jim Henson's Muppet*Vision 3D closed after 34 years in the park on June 7.
The new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will see guests gain access to a recording studio like before. They will be able to see members of the Electric Mayhem band working, penguins serving as audio engineers, and the band performing onstage.
