Dylan Efron has his eyes on a new chapter
Coming off of a crazy year, which included a win on the reality series The Traitors and making it to the Dancing with the Stars finale, the content creator is opening up to PEOPLE about the next phase of his life
Spending time with "Boston" Rob Mariano, he says, has him thinking just a tad bit more about fatherhood
Dylan Efron is looking forward to his next chapter.Coming off a whirlwind year, Efron, who won season 3 of the reality murder mystery series The Traitors and made it to the finale on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars, now has his eyes on the next phase of his life.Chatting with PEOPLE at the 2025 iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM's Jingle Ball on Dec. 5, the content creator, who recently launched a YouTube series called Everything's a Competition with his fellow The Traitors star "Boston" Rob Mariano, shares how spending time with Mariano has him starting to think about becoming a dad.Mariano is a girl dad four times over, sharing daughters Lucia, Carina, Isabetta and Adelina with his wife Amber Mariano (née Brkich), whom he met while competing against her on Survivor: All-Stars in 2004.Efron tells PEOPLE that while Mariano isn't pushing him when it comes to gearing up for fatherhood, spending time with the season 4 Survivor: Marquesas winner has him "excited for that next chapter."

"It all started with Olivia," Efron says, referencing his younger sister, with whom he has been open about his close relationship. Efron also brought Olivia on to Dancing with the Stars this season, performing his Dedication Night dance in honor of her."He's an amazing dad," Efron gushes of his celebrity pal. "It shows in everything he does."Continuing on, Efron went on to say how much of a good influence Mariano is on him. "We all grew up watching him on TV, and you see the cutthroatness, but in real life, he's got such a big heart."Speaking with PEOPLE earlier in the month, the social media star opened up about what it was like to perform on Dancing with the Stars and have his family's support, including his little sister."I was able to look at myself on stage through [my sister] Olivia's eyes and be like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is pretty cool,'" he said.

"Gosh, I feel so lucky," Efron says, reflecting on the past year. "This year has been incredible. So I'm not even going to try to separate it. Let's just keep going."For now, he's focused on his series with Mariano, where the two men face off through a series of unpredictable obstacles.
The pair grew close on the set of The Traitors, and Efron told PEOPLE that the two kept getting approached to do a project together. Together, the two came up with an idea that was a perfect blend of their own friendly competitiveness with each other.“We're always competing in the dumbest things against each other," Efron said. So we were just like, ‘Man, this would be a great show.'"
