Emily in Paris' upcoming sixth season will officially be its last chapter.
"Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime," creator Darren Star said in a statement.
Netflix announced on Thursday that season 6 of the comedy, which began production in Greece on the same day, will wrap the series.
Emily in Paris is officially bidding farewell with its sixth and final season.
Netflix announced on Thursday that the upcoming chapter of its megahit rom-com series will be the last. The streamer shared the news alongside the reveal that production for the final season has officially kicked off in its new setting: Greece.
"Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime," creator Darren Star said in a statement. "As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us."
Star, 64, added. "We can't wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris!"

Star and executive producer Lily Collins also shared the news with fans in a video shared on social media, which included behind-the-scenes photos of Collins with Star on set. "Hey, it's Lily, I just wanted to share something with you all," Collins said in the video. "After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Cooper, I'm here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final.""Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily's adventure of a lifetime," Collins continued. "Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we're now filming."
The star concluded the video with a sweet message to fans, saying, "I can't wait for all the magic ahead and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet. We're so incredibly grateful and we love you all, à bientôt!"
The news of Emily in Paris' imminent conclusion comes a month after Entertainment Weekly confirmed that the upcoming installment of the Netflix series will be saying arrivederci to Italy and is heading to Greece and Monaco.
Since the show premiered in 2020, Emily has jetted to Paris, along with Rome, Venice, Saint Tropez, and Megève. It's only appropriate that she grab her passport and pack her bags once again for the final installment. But, of course, fans can cross their fingers that the ending will see Emily bidding bienvenue à Paris (again)!
Season 5 followed Emily's life as "just as everything falls into place" for her in Italy, when all of a sudden "a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks," per its official synopsis.
The final scene featured Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) inviting Emily to meet him in Greece after her breakup with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), teasing a possible new chapter in their relationship — and a new glamorous hotspot. “Emily. As promised… A postcard with a stamp. I’m at sea without you. Meet me in Greece. Yours, Gabriel," the fateful note read.

While plot details for the upcoming season have yet to be announced, Star previously teased in a December 2025 interview with Decider what fans could expect in another season.
"I have a couple of things in the back of my mind, but I don't really dive in and think about...and things can change," Star said. "So I wouldn't want to like really talk about anything in a concrete way."

Also in the season 5 finale, Mindy (Ashley Park) and Nicolas (Paul Forman) get engaged. However, just because Nico popped the question to Mindy doesn't mean things are as perfect as they seem.
"Nicolas was always in Mindy's mind as this fantasy, who really hurt her, and came back and offered her surprisingly everything. And I think she was really quick to cast Alfie aside as a little bit of a fling when Nico came back in the picture," Star told Decider. "But I think it's going to complicate the situation. If and when we hear about a Season 6, I think that their storyline would be a little messy."

Collins has also shared her wish list for what could happen in season 6.
"I hope we get to go to another season, and I hope I'm going to plan [Mindy's] bachelorette in Greece," she told Deadline in December. "I think no matter where we go — I'm hoping it's Greece, because that would be amazing. It would be with Mindy."
Along with Emily, Gabriel, Nico, and Mindy, fans can expect Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Samuel Arnold (Julien), and Bruno Gouery (Luc), among others, to return for season 6.
Seasons 1-5 of Emily in Paris are available to stream on Netflix.
