Falcons legend Julio Jones is loving life after football
Usually when an NFL team gives up a massive amount of draft capital for one player it doesn't age well. The Atlanta Falcons traded five picks to the Cleveland Browns to move up for Julio Jones back in 2011 - and it turned out to be a bargain.
Not only was Jones the best wide receiver in football during his peak years, Jones is the best player in franchise history - and all due respect to Matt Ryan and Michael Vick - but it's not even close.
914 catches, 13,703 yards, 66 touchdowns, seven Pro Bowls, two first-team All-Pros and what should have been the greatest catch in Super Bowl history later, Jones is now retired from football and enjoying himself. Here's what he told TMZ Sports, who caught up with him at LAX.

"I put myself into position a long time ago to be able to enjoy it," said Jones. "I did it at a high level, I gave it my all. I don't have no regrets, I don't feel like - oh I can't go play or I wanna go play - I'm done. I'm in great shape, I don't have a limp - my fingers not messed up. I can do anything I wanna do right now. I can run, I can jump, I can do whatever..."
Jones is obviously a special athlete, but what set him apart was a tremendous competitive spirit - fans may recall that Jones was the team's best ping-pong player back in the day.
Julio is still competing, too. He has reportedly been training to become a professional bowler, and we're not betting against him.
