Amid continued speculation regarding the Milwaukee Bucks star's future with the team, the two-time league MVP gave fans two thumbs down in response to boos that filled Fiserv Forum on Tuesday, Jan. 13 during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"Whenever I get booed, I boo back," Antetokounmpo, 31, told reporters after the game, which the Bucks lost, 139-106.

During a post-game press conference, Antetokounmpo defended his decision to react to the crowd.

"I play basketball for my teammates. I play basketball for myself and my family," he said. "When people don't believe in me, I don't tend to be with them. I tend to be against them. I tend to do what I'm here to do, what I'm good at."

Q: "You got booed at home…Were you booing back?"…Giannis: "When people don't believe in me…I tend to be against them…I've never been a part of something like that and I don't think it's fair…I've been here 13 years and I'm basically the all-time leader in everything" pic.twitter.com/QW87Cd0yHb

He added, "I've always been that way. It won't change now. It won't matter if I'm home or away. But yeah, I've never been a part of something like that before and I don't think it's fair. I don't. But everybody has their opinion to do what they want to do."

Antetokounmpo often sports the thumbs-down gesture to opposing team's fans while on the road. He did it after his winning shot against the Indiana Pacers in October and after his windmill dunk sealed a win against the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 27.

Antetokounmpo's frustration on Tuesday night came after the blowout loss after which the team fell to 17-23 on the season. The future Hall of Famer's future with the team is in doubt as the league nears the trade deadline on Feb. 5.

ā€œObviously, you’re frustrated,ā€ Antetokounmpo said. "I think we didn’t play hard. I think we didn’t do the right things. We didn’t play as a team. There’s not much you can take from this game."

In October, Antetokounmpo — who was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 15th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft — revealed his plans to finish his playing career in Greece.

"I'm 30 years old, I can play in the NBA until I'm 36-38. I'd like to end my career in a Greek team, why not?" the Nigerian-Greek player said during an interview with ANT1's The 2night Show, according to a translation by BasketNews.

"I don't want to live in the United States," he revealed. "As soon as I leave the NBA, I want to return to Greece."
