Collectors and “Star Wars” fans are racing to theaters and retailers nationwide as limited-edition popcorn buckets tied to “The Mandalorian and Grogu” hit shelves ahead of the film’s release.

The highly anticipated collectibles inspired by characters and vehicles from the popular Disney+ franchise feature designs including Grogu in his floating pram, the Mandalorian’s helmet and towering AT-AT Walkers. Prices range from about $35 to $80 depending on the theater chain and exclusivity of the item.

The collectible popcorn vessels have become increasingly popular in recent years as movie theaters look for new ways to attract audiences and create viral social media moments. Many specialty buckets tied to blockbuster releases have sold out within hours, later appearing on resale sites at significantly marked-up prices.

Among the most sought-after designs is the interactive AT-AT Walker bucket sold at several theater chains. AMC Theatres is offering a large AT-AT Walker popcorn vessel alongside a Mandalorian helmet bucket and a Grogu pram design.

Regal Cinemas released its own version of the AT-AT Walker bucket featuring light-up turrets and sound effects, as well as a “Clan of Two” bust bucket inspired by the Mandalorian and Grogu duo.

Marcus Theatres is selling a stylized 230-ounce collectible tin bucket displaying theatrical artwork from the upcoming film, while Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is also carrying the interactive AT-AT Walker design with button-activated laser sound effects.

Retailers are also joining the collectible craze. Walmart is offering an exclusive Grogu-themed bucket showing the character reaching for popcorn alongside small creatures, with some versions bundled with a Fandango movie ticket reward.

The buckets arrive as “Star Wars” merchandise continues to drive strong collector demand decades after the franchise debuted. Theater-exclusive popcorn containers tied to major releases such as “Dune,” “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “Barbie” have recently become social media sensations, with some designs reselling online for hundreds of dollars after selling out.

Fans hoping to secure the latest “Mandalorian and Grogu” collectibles are being encouraged to purchase early, as many locations are limiting quantities and warning that supplies are available only while they last.
