Kylie Minogue has had years of experience dating in the public eye.
The Princess of Pop is known for her plethora of hit songs released over her decades-long career — from "Put Yourself in My Place" to "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and dozens more.
In addition to her lengthy discography, Minogue has long been in the spotlight. Even before she broke out in the music world, she made headlines for her love life when she dated her Neighbours costar Jason Donovan from 1986 to 1989.
After their relationship ended, the Grammy-winning artist went on to have high-profile relationships with Michael Hutchence, James Gooding, Olivier Martinez and Andrés Velencoso. She became engaged to British actor Joshua Sasse in 2016, but they ended their relationship the following year.
Most recently, Minogue was in a five-year relationship with Paul Solomons until they split in 2023.
Minogue opened up about her past relationships and famous flings in the Netflix docuseries Kylie, which hit the streamer on May 20. In addition to Minogue speaking out about her love life, at least one of her exes, Donovan, was also interviewed for the doc.
Here's everything to know about Kylie Minogue's dating history.

When Minogue and Donovan joined the cast of the Australian soap opera Neighbours in 1986, they hit it off both on-screen and off as love interests. During their relationship, the former couple left the show together to pursue music and released their hit duet, "Especially For You," in 1989. The two broke up later that year but have remained friends.
"That was full-on, for obvious reasons," Donovan told the Sydney Morning Herald of his relationship with Minogue in 2023. "It was great and we created magic together on screen — we were boyfriend and girlfriend on Neighbours — and off screen. We're still good friends."
During a 2025 conversation with Big Issue, Donovan called Minogue his "first love." He also showed his support for the singer by appearing in Kylie.
Donovan is currently married to Angela Malloch and has three children.

As her relationship with Donovan fizzled out, Minogue met Hutchence at an INXS concert in Sydney in 1989, and they quickly hit it off at an afterparty. They began dating that year and continued their relationship for two years.
"We were good together. Shoulda, woulda, coulda, whatever. You go on and live your lives. But it was definitely an amazing point in time," Minogue shared in Kylie. "I've probably been looking for something like that ever since, and I haven't got it."
Minogue recalled having "a lot of fun" with Hutchence and credited him for helping her "discover" who she is as a singer. After they split in 1991, Minogue was "devastated" and experienced her first real "heartbreak."
Hutchence was 37 years old when he died by suicide in 1997. His death took a significant toll on Minogue, who told PEOPLE that speaking about him in her documentary was "the first real emotional point" for her while filming.
"I was like, ‘Oh no, oh no, it's happening. Try to keep yourself together,' " she said. "I was just sad because he's no longer with us, so that adds a whole other dimension on top of my memories and my truth and my purity of that time of my feelings."

Around 2000, Minogue began dating British model James Gooding. The two dated for about three years before calling it quits.
At the time, Gooding publicly admitted to being unfaithful to Minogue during their relationship, per The Telegraph.

While dealing with the aftermath of her split from Gooding, she started dating French director Olivier Martinez in 2003.

In the midst of their relationship, Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005. She credited Martinez for supporting her throughout her health journey and called him the "most honorable man I have ever met."
“Olli was there all the time,” she told Elle U.K. in 2006. “He was incredible. He didn't hesitate in canceling work and putting projects on hold so he could be with me.”
She added, “On particularly dark days, I'd be lying on the bathroom floor wailing and he'd say, ‘OK, honey, you can cry for just five minutes, then I'm taking you on the bike for a ride around Paris. ' I'd find myself thinking, ‘Hmm. Actually a ride on the bike sounds pretty good.' ”
The two remained together for nearly four years before confirming their "amicable" split in February 2007.
Minogue and Martinez remained good friends for years, and she even publicly congratulated him on his engagement to Halle Berry in 2012. Martinez and Berry were married from 2013 to 2016 and welcomed one son together.
Andrés Velencoso

Minogue moved on from Martinez and started dating Spanish model Andrés Velencoso around 2008. The pair remained in a committed relationship for five years until their breakup in October 2013.
"It was an amicable separation but I still love Andrés — he's the nicest guy, he's the coolest guy," she told the Daily Star in January 2014, per The Standard. "I was very sad. You come out the other side — being super busy and on the cusp of so many things helps to move on."
She later told Good Housekeeping UK in May 2014 that she was "definitely sad" about the split "for awhile," but they've been able to remain friends.
"It was definitely sad for a while, because you're no longer hanging out with your buddy, your best mate," she explained. "But I think being so busy has been a blessing, and we're still in touch. Genuinely, it was a healthy separation. I was relieved there weren't any stories about him doing this or that, as it's just not him. He's a really, really good guy."

While making a guest appearance on the show Galavant in 2015, she met one of the show's stars, Joshua Sasse, and hit it off. They confirmed their romance in September of that year, and she announced their engagement at the 2016 NME Awards in February.
The following February, Minogue confirmed speculation that they called off their engagement. She posted a photo of a sunset on Instagram and thanked her fans for their support.
“#lovers … Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life,” she captioned the photo. “Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways.”
She continued, “We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons."

In 2018, Minogue met Paul Solomons, the creative director of British GQ, through mutual friends. The two remained together through the 2020 COVID pandemic, and he helped her work on her 15th album, DISCO.
"It kind of made me try to see it from a different perspective," Minogue told PEOPLE of the experience in November 2020. "When it comes to work, I go in deep and I'm obsessive. He's been very supportive through that."
Minogue, who kept much of her relationship with Solomons private, added that he was "a great guy."
"In a nutshell, he's a great guy. He's so caring and supportive," Minogue said."He has a wicked sense of humor, he has his own life and his own career going on. So we meet in the middle somewhere. And yeah, it's just ... it's good — and there's a lot to be said for that."
The couple dated for five years before splitting in 2023.
