Everyone Is Doing Great is a coming-of-age comedy that “follows former costars, friends and lovers Seth (Colletti), Jeremy (Lafferty), Andrea (Alexandra Park) and Izzy (Cariba Heine) as they are pulled back together to grapple with the absurd and the uncertain.” Its pilot won Best Writers for Comedy at SeriesFest and Best TV Episodic at Mammoth Film Festival.
“What James and Stephen have created with Everyone Is Doing Great captures what makes great indie television so compelling – it’s raw, authentic, hilarious, and full of heart,” said Paul Littmann, EVP of Global Distribution at Sony Pictures Television. “Netflix is the ideal platform to bring this incredibly special show to audiences worldwide.”

Season one of Everyone Is Doing Great followed Seth and Jeremy, who “enjoyed relative success from ‘Eternal,’ a hit television vampire drama,” according to IMDb. “Five years after their show has ended, they lean on each other as they struggle to reclaim their previous level of success and relevance, awkwardly navigating the perils of life and love amid a humorously painful coming of age.”

As well as starring in the series, the One Tree Hill duo created and executive-produced it. Park, along with Ian Nelms, Eshom Nelms, Michelle Lang, Johnny Derango, Ngoc Nguyen, Stuart Lafferty, Rocque Trem and Garrett Greer serve as executive producers on the second season.
Jamie Chung, Phoenix Washington, Bryan Greenberg, Jessica McNamee, Robbie Jones, Merritt Patterson, Aaron Staton, Nichelle Hines, Rhys Wakefield and more are set to guest star in the second season.
In 2018, Lafferty and Colletti spoke to PEOPLE about the risks and benefits of making an independent television series.
“Setting out on this journey was risky for us because there are a lot of things and chances we’re taking with these characters,” Lafferty admitted. “These characters are the perfect storm of bad behavior.”
He added, “You write what you know, right?”
“We obviously drew a lot from our own experiences and circumstances. We do want to make it very clear that these characters are works of fiction, but at the same time … I think Jeremy speaks to that part of myself coming out of One Tree Hill who recognized pretty quickly that it was going to be harder than I thought it would be," he explained "I was always prepared to do a lot more work, and I knew that I’d wind up creating my own stuff, and that it would be a tough road, but auditioning again was a shock, and I hadn’t really prepared myself for that too much.”
