Jennie Garth shared a morning walk and workout with daughter Luca Bella

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said having family around keeps her “motivated to take care of myself”

The twosome ran up a steep flight of stairs and Garth did a Rocky Balboa impersonation

Jennie Garth went for a vigorous morning workout with lookalike daughter Luca Bella, sharing that she was “feeling very grateful.”

“Today I’m choosing a morning walk and workout with my girl @lucabellabella 💗,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 53, wrote in the caption for her Dec. 23 Instagram video. “Love having my family around this time of year, they always keep me motivated to take care of myself! Feeling very grateful 🤗.”

In the video, Garth stayed in step with Luca, 28, the oldest of three children that she shares with ex-husband Peter Facinelli; While Luca manned the camera, Garth did her best Rocky Balboa impression, running up a steep flight of stairs while wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with “I Choose Me,” the name of her podcast and forthcoming memoir, due in April.

Garth has previously shared that menopause can make workouts a challenge: “I’m going to be real honest with you … I’ve been struggling with working out recently. my travel and work schedule, my body pain, not to mention menopause is a daily minefield, both physically & mentally.”

She shared that she knows “I’ll always feel better from doing it. But recently it just feels like my body is fighting against me at times.”

Due to her osteoarthritis diagnosis, Garth has said she feels compelled remain dedicated to her fitness journey, telling PEOPLE, “I just keep working those joints out, I keep using those joints so that there's no sedentary time for the arthritis to creep in anywhere I don't want it."

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, according to the Mayo Clinic. It occurs when the “protective cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones wears down over time. It can cause pain, stiffness, and swelling, among other symptoms that limit movement."

The condition has led to the actress having two hip replacements, but as she shared, “my physical state has nothing to do with my spirit."

"There are some scary and disappointing changes, like when you start to see and feel aging, but don’t be afraid of that," Garth has said. "It’s a part of who you are moving forward.”
