Jennifer Lopez has no problem laughing at herself — as long as she's the one making the jokes.
The singer kicked off her new Up All Night Live in Las Vegas residency in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Tuesday, and between the extensive playlist of her career bangers, guest appearances, and extravagant costume changes, the 56-year-old kept the crowd laughing as she made quips about her fashion critics and her own romantic past.
At one moment onstage, Lopez reflected on the criticisms she received, often aimed at her choice of clothing, which she wore while clad in a dazzling, glittery green body suit with a fringed bottom.

"I do laugh at some of the things sometimes, 'cuz they do say funny things too," the Anaconda star told the crowd, according to footage of the show shared on social media. "'Why is she always dressed that way? Why don't she dress her age? Why is she always naked?'"
"And I say, 'If you had this body, you'd be naked too,'" she quipped, to the rousing cheers of her fans in the audience.

Lopez also poked fun at her headline-making past relationships while reminiscing on her first Vegas residency, the All I Have show which took place nearly a decade prior, from January 2016 to September 2018 at Planet Hollywood.
"That went by in a blink didn't it? For those of you who were there on opening night 10 years ago," she said, in a fan video shared via social media. "At that time, I had only been married twice."
She laughed before adding, "That's not true. It was only once. Felt like twice. I'm just kidding."
"It's over and we just, boom, and it's fine. It's all good," Lopez continued as her fans cheered. "The good news is that I'm learning and I'm growing. We're in our happy era right now."
Lopez has famously been married four times. Her first marriage was with Ojani Noa in 1997, but the couple split the following year. The singer then exchanged vows with Cris Judd, whom she was married to from 2001 to 2003. Husband number 3 was Marc Anthony, whom Lopez exchanged vows with in 2004 and welcomed twins Max and Emme. The couple split in 2014.

Her fourth marriage was with on-again, off-again lover, Ben Affleck, whom Lopez first met in 2002 on the set of their film Gigli. They were engaged by the year's end and broken up by the start of 2004. Over the following decade and a half, they remained friends, but the feeling grew deeper and more substantial, leading to a romantic rekindling in 2021. They were engaged again the year after, married a few months later, and filed for divorce last August.
Despite finalizing their divorce in January, the couple has continued to support one another's projects, with Affleck showing up to support Lopez at the premiere of her film Kiss of the Spider Woman in October.
Lopez will continue her Vegas residency tonight, with more shows on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3. After a brief break, the residency is scheduled to resume on March 6 with shows planned through March 28.
