Justin Trudeau made sure Katy Perry stayed protected from the sun as the pair enjoyed a boat trip in the South of France this week.
The former Canadian Prime Minister, who has been dating the pop star since last summer, was seen applying sunscreen to Perry during the outing. At one point, Perry leaned back as Trudeau carefully rubbed SPF across her chest while they relaxed on board with friends.
Photos from the day showed the singer smiling as she lifted her dress slightly, allowing Trudeau to cover her skin. The interaction appeared light and affectionate, with the couple clearly at ease as they spent time together on the water. This comes after the pop star spoke out against the Trump administration.

Perry wore a teal bodycon dress with a peplum hemline, lowering the straps off her shoulders while Trudeau applied sunscreen to her decolletage.
She completed the look with cat-eye sunglasses, gold hoop earrings, and sandals. Trudeau kept things casual in an olive green button-down shirt paired with khaki pants and brown suede Birkenstocks.

The outing is the latest glimpse into the couple's relationship, which first made headlines last July when they were spotted together in Montreal.
By December, they confirmed their romance on Instagram, with Perry sharing photos from a trip to Tokyo, Japan.
They have since made several public appearances together, including their red carpet debut last month at the premiere of Perry's concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour - Live from Paris, during the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival.

Perry has also been open about her relationship in recent interviews. Speaking to People about her Lifetimes Tour, which ran for most of 2025, she described the experience as "incredible."
"They are the ones that have helped me along for all these years, over 18 years, and it's just such a fun thing to encapsulate," she said of her fans.
Following a screening of the film, Perry took part in a Q&A session where she referred to Trudeau as "the love of [her] life."
"Every day is a fantastic journey, and every day is a chance to evolve and to be a better person and do the right thing and to be a model for your community, for your family, for your world," Perry said, per Us Weekly.

She added, "I would say now, at the end of 91 shows, I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love."
Perry also spoke about how the relationship impacted her during the Paris leg of her tour, where the concert film was recorded.
"Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and so I felt very anchored by that," she explained. "I'm a little bit like a rainbow kite-I fly super high. Sometimes I need to be anchored, so to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now."
