A public outing took an unexpected turn when a fitness creator’s wig was abruptly snatched off in front of a crowd.
In a now-viral video shared on X, content creator Androgenic — known online for his looksmaxxing content, a social media trend focused on maximizing physical appearance through grooming, fitness and aesthetic enhancements — is seen filming in public when a man approaches from behind and suddenly pulls the hat off his head, along with the wig attached to it.
The clip captures the immediate aftermath, showing Androgenic chasing after the man as stunned onlookers react.
Since being posted, the video has garnered more than 40 views, with many commenters criticizing the creator and accusing him of promoting a false image.

"I don't think people realized that I've literally been spamming videos of me being bald for like two months, and I literally publicly made videos of me showing that I'm wearing a wig days ago, but I'm glad this is going this viral," the creator said in a video that's reached over 2.3 million views.
After posting his response, hundreds of viewers flooded the comments to weigh in. While many echoed earlier accusations that he shouldn’t be promoting a false image, others came to his defense.

"The looksmaxxing niche is only going to get bigger because it's so self-reinforcing," he said. "I get my wig snatched off in public, and I just get millions of people telling me I look disgusting. And look, you might be right, but you're just proving the importance of looks more."
