There are still just under two months until Emily in Paris returns on Netflix for season 5, but Lucien Laviscount is already fantasizing about the show's wardrobe ahead of its premiere.

The actor, 33, revealed the one item that he would steal from the closet of his Emily in Paris character, Alfie Peterson, if it were ever a possibility.

"I think Alfie has the best suiting on the show, so I'd probably be stealing all of the suits from Alfie's wardrobe," he exclusively told PEOPLE at the De Beers Group Desert Diamond Launch held at ARTECHOUSE in New York on Oct. 10.

"I'm taking every suit that Alfie wears, 100 percent," Laviscount added.

In addition to several enviable wardrobe moments across the board — including from the titular character, Emily Cooper — fans can expect a series of surprises from the show's upcoming season.

"All I'm gonna say is strap in," the actor previously told PEOPLE while celebrating John Varvatos’ 25th anniversary and the launch of the brand's new fragrance, John Varvatos XX Elixir. "Because it goes left, so far left, and a little bit right this season."

While fans have been entirely left in the dark about this season's plot points, Laviscount also wasn't sure of what might happen between Emily and Alfie, who were previously romantically linked. "I didn't know what to expect — none of us do before we get the scripts — and we got the scripts for this season and it's... Yeah, I don't think anyone could have foreseen that coming," he teased.

Laviscount joined Emily in Paris in season 2, and reflected on what it's been like bringing the character to life for the past four years. He told PEOPLE at the John Varvatos event that he admires Alfie's honesty — even if it sometimes has messy consequences.

"I think Alfie kind of always speaks his truth, which I'd like to say is a trait of mine. In the most difficult situations, he speaks the truth. I like to say I'm pretty similar in that respect," Laviscount said. "I love playing Alfie. Alfie’s been an amazing part of my life now. It's been cool."

Emily in Paris season 5 sees Emily taking on more responsibilities. She's now the head of Agence Grateau Rome following season 4's shocking finale, and will face "professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city."

Despite the big career move, things ultimately go south — "a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks" for Emily.

"Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships," the plot synopsis continues. "Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities."

Emily in Paris season 5 returns Dec. 18 on Netflix.
