Martha Stewart flaunts her hair transformation in rose gold. The 85-year-old businesswoman and television personality swapped her signature blonde bob for a surprising hairstyle and shared her new look on Instagram on Aug. 9 with the help of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.

The new shade comes just days after Stewart celebrated her 85th birthday on Aug. 3. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, she opened up about reaching the milestone age and said, “Eighty-five is just a number.” Cut to a few days later, her new look is actually making her fans say that her age is just a number.

Chris Appleton shared two photos of himself posing with Martha Stewart pink hair. He captioned the post, “Rose gold …. It’s a good thing ?”

Appleton also shared a video showing how the transformation came together. In the clip, Stewart initially appeared with her usual blonde hair while lip-syncing the words of Miranda Priestly, Meryl Streep’s character from The Devil Wears Prada: “Pull yourself together, we have work to do, and by we, I mean you.”

Appleton then covered the camera with his hand, and when he moved it away, Stewart appeared with her new rose gold hair. As she showed off the finished look, Madonna’s “Vogue” played in the background. “Welcome to the rose gold era,” Appleton wrote in the caption.

The celebrity hairstylist also shared the formula behind Martha Stewart’s new hair. According to Schwarzkopf, the pink-toned look was created using a temporary rose gold gloss.

This isn’t the first time Appleton has experimented with Martha Stewart’s hair. He previously gave her a small transformation in January when they tried the mocha mousse hair trend. Stewart later returned to her lighter blonde shade.
