This mom knows how to hit it out of the park when it comes to her fashion.
You might think that an afternoon at your child's baseball game requires whatever casual clothing you can find in sight, but 35-year-old Leanna Garcia went viral on TikTok for proving that's not always the case.
Recently, Garcia, a mom of five from Gulfport, Miss., posted a TikTok video that showed her wearing white lace bloomers, a flowy top and sandals to cheer on her 8-year-old son at his baseball game. In the video, in which she's also seen carrying a newborn on the field, she wrote, "More of a Free People baseball mom and less of a Lululemon kind of mom."
The 15-second clip went incredibly viral, garnering over 1 million views and over 1,000 comments from viewers who either loved the outfit or couldn't feel farther removed from Garcia's aesthetic (one wrote, "I'm a Adam Sandler mom").

The outfit was nothing out of the ordinary for Garcia, who describes her style as "soft, romantic and feminine with a slightly elevated boho feel," and her closet typically includes anything monochromatic, flowy and easily layerable.

"There’s something really beautiful about bringing a sense of individuality and intention into everyday spaces, like a baseball game," she says. "I also joke that I dress for the little girls at the ball field who tell me I look pretty."
When reading the comments, Garcia noticed that people seemed to have "strong feelings" about her bloomers in particular. "I knew that by posting that video, I was going to get some opinions on my outfit. But I was not expecting it to blow up as it did," she says.

The reactions ranged from "witty banter" to plain old "mean" comments, and to the latter, Garcia says, "people can only steal your joy if you let them. One thing I realized is that by being authentic, you’ll attract your people and repel the rest."
Garcia will keep on carrying her sense of whimsy and romanticism into her work of creating custom painting, hats and portraits while also leaning into a slower and more peaceful "season of her life" that involves being in the studio with her baby, baking with her daughter, enjoying a candlelit dinner on her porch with her husband and, of course, cheering on her boys at their baseball games. "It’s a beautiful and whimsical life!"
