Sarah Ferguson is reportedly furious over the way Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been portrayed in recent weeks. According to an insider, she believes Prince William is at the heart of it.
The source claims the 66-year-old feels her daughters have become casualties of a wider effort to reshape the monarchy. In her view, the criticism surrounding the sisters goes far beyond recent headlines. Ferguson allegedly thinks it reflects a deeper campaign to push them further from the royal spotlight.
"Sarah is raging about the way this has all unfolded," the insider told Closer. "She blames William for poisoning the King against her girls." Furthermore, the source added that Ferguson believes there has been "a very deliberate effort" to shift opinion against Beatrice and Eugenie, and that William has been the "driving force" behind it.

"The fact that they're being unfairly singled out and painted as some sort of burden on the monarchy…infuriates her," said the insider. As per Ferguson, Beatrice and Eugenie have "always bent over backwards" for both the Crown and their family.
For this reason, the criticism is especially difficult to accept. "Sarah thinks it deeply unfair that William seems to have zeroed in on them," the source added.
Recent public appearances have allegedly done little to change her perspective. Although Beatrice and Eugenie attended Peter Phillips' wedding and were seen warmly greeting relatives, including William, Ferguson reportedly does not see that as evidence that tensions have eased.
"The wedding was a nice gesture," the insider claimed, "but in her eyes it doesn't cancel out this cruel effort that's underway to sideline them."
