Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is temporarily on pause following the death of Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Cosby Jr. He passed away earlier this week from a suspected drug overdose, and although people in the entertainment industry always say “the show must go on,” this is one of those instances where that is not the case.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7 has delayed filming

We knew that production for RHOSLC Season 7 was ramping up this month. We had been following all of the casting rumors, including those rumblings about a “mega clause” in the Housewives’ contracts. Insiders who spoke with Decider said that cameras were scheduled to pick up this week. None of that is important right now.

The insiders also confirmed that following Robert’s death, production has been put on hold. It’s not clear exactly when they intend to pick up cameras again, or if Mary will even be involved. However, we do know that she has the support of the network and her castmates, regardless of what happens next.

Bravo shared a statement saying, “We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Mary’s beloved son, Robert Jr. Mary is a cherished member of our family, and our thoughts, love, and deepest condolences are with her and her loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”

Meanwhile, Lisa Barlow took to her Instagram Story to offer prayers. Whitney Rose shared a broken heart emoji along with angel wings. Mary’s on-screen bestie, Angie Katsanevas, also shared a touching tribute to Robert.

Angie wrote, “Thank you for sharing Bubbs with my family and the world. He touched many hearts, and this loss has broken mine.

“I will forever remember his kindness towards Elektra, his handshake and eye contact, and his soft spoken voice ‘Love you Mom’ I am here for you,” she continued. “May god bless your family and may his memory be eternal??
