Richard Gere and his wife, Alejandra Silva, shared an Instagram post of themselves on a nature walk with a heartfelt caption

“Some paths are meant to be walked slowly. Not because of where they lead, but because of who you share them with,” the couple wrote, in part, in their joint caption

The couple, who wed and 2018 and have since welcomed two sons, often document their family’s outdoor adventures

Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva gave a glimpse of their outdoorsy life.

The couple can be seen hiking together in an Instagram video jointly shared on Saturday, July 4, as they marked Fourth of July weekend.

The clip began with Silva, 43, filming a lake in a forest. She then filmed herself walking along a stone pathway lined with shrubs up to the actor, 76, who stood waiting for her by a sign.

The Agency star was then seen walking a few steps ahead of Silva. At one point, Gere stopped to take photos of their surroundings on his phone. He then continued walking a few more steps before turning around to face Silva.

“Some paths are meant to be walked slowly. Not because of where they lead, but because of who you share them with,” the couple wrote in the caption. “To me, the best weekends don’t need big plans. Just quality time, nature, unhurried conversations… and the joy of reaching the end of the path with the person I love most 🥰.”

“Because in the end, the real destination is always the people we love. Wait until the end… you’ll see. ❤️#ourpath #happyweekend #familytime #qualitytime,” the post concluded.

Gere and Silva tied the knot in April 2018 and have since welcomed two sons, Alexander, 7, and James, 6. Gere also has another son, 26-year-old Homer, from a previous relationship.

Previously, on June 5, the couple posted photos and videos on Instagram from another outdoor activity as the pair went scuba diving together.

Silva and Gere were each snapped underwater in scuba diving gear, with Silva waving to the camera and Gere swimming with a tortoise. The couple also posted a clip of dolphins swimming alongside their boat during the trip.

Gere and Silva also included the footage from their hiking trip together, along with throwback photos from a beach trip with their sons.

In one photo, Silva stood on the sand with Alexander and James looking out to sea and in another Gere and Silva sat with their kids on the beach.
