Rod Stewart did not mince his words when bringing up Donald Trump to King Charles III.
The 81-year-old singer-songwriter attended an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The King's Trust on Monday, May 11. Charles, 77, and Queen Camilla, 78, were also in attendance at the milestone anniversary gathering of the British monarch's charity that occurred at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Charles also gave a speech at the event.
A video circulating online shows the two talking at the event. Rod reportedly spoke to Charles about his recent state visit to the United States. He ended up simultaneously praising Charles and seemingly slamming Trump, appearing to call the 79-year-old a "ratbag."

Daily Mail's Royal Expert Rebecca English reported in a tweet that Rod said, at one point to Charles, "May I say, well done in the Americas. You were superb. Absolutely superb. You put that little ratbag in his place…."
Charles' back was to the camera but from a slight glimpse of his side profile, he appeared to be laughing afterwards. It's unclear what Charles said back in response to Rod following that remark.
Back In January, Rod took to social media where he bashed Trump on social media following the former reality TV star's claims that British and NATO forces avoided the front lines in the war in Afghanistan.

Rod made a video addressing Trump's claims and asked Starmer and Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage to make Trump apologize.
"I may just be a humble rock star. I'm also a knight of the realm and I have my opinions." The Maggie May singer began. "I was born just after the [World] War [II] and have great respect for our armed forces that fought and gave us our freedom.
"So, it hurts me badly, deeply when I read that the draft dodger Trump has criticized our troops in Afghanistan for not being on the front line," Rod added.
"We lost over 400 of our guys. Think of their parents. Think about it and Trump calls 'em almost like cowards. It's unbearable. So, I'm calling on you, Prime Minister Starmer and Farage. Please make the draft dodger Trump apologize, please," he continued.

Rod concluded the video with a salute and "Take a stand" and "Thank You", which was displayed across the screen.
Charles and Camilla completed a four-day trip to the states from April 27 to 30, where they were welcomed by Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, 56. During the visit, Charles and Camilla headed to Washington, DC, Virginia and New York City.
Charles also gave a speech at Congress and gifted Trump with the original brass conning tower bell from the HMS Trump, a British World War II submarine.
