Sasha Farber admitted exclusively to PEOPLE that he has never watched girlfriend Janel Parrish's show Pretty Little Liars

On June 5, the pair made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Race to Erase MS Gala, which raised over $1.8 million

Parrish praised Farber for his positivity, love and cooking skills

Sasha Farber admitted he has never watched girlfriend Janel Parrish in her breakthrough role as Mona Vanderwaal on Pretty Little Liars.

The pair made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 33rd Race to Erase MS Gala at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on June 5.

Parrish, 37, exclusively told PEOPLE that she feels "so loved" when fans have loved Mona from day one. "Not going to lie. I haven't seen an episode," Farber, 42, added about the drama series.

However, Parrish prefers to keep it that way. "I think if I want to keep him as my boyfriend, he probably should never see it," she said.

"I got to have him keep looking at me in a loving way and not see me in that light," Parrish added.

"Well, we're going to watch it. We'll watch it. We'll watch it in years to come," the Dancing with the Starspro replied. "We'll be like, 'Look, there's Mom.' "

Even though Farber hasn't seen the wild ride that Parrish's character has throughout the 7 seasons of Pretty Little Liars, he has "absolutely" watched her other projects.

"Yes. It's funny," he said about her role in the Christmas is Canceled movie from 2021. "This is before we were together and I was like, 'Oh, I wonder, I should text her.' "

Farber added, "I was like, 'Oh, you know what? I'm going to text her.' And then didn't and then, a year later, look at that."

The professional dancer previously hard-launched his relationship with the actress on April 27 with an Instagram post, captioning photos of Parrish kissing him with, "April has been amazing ❤️🌹."

Parrish then spoke with PEOPLE at the Gold Gala on May 9 about their new romance. "He just brings so much love and light and positivity to people in the world," she said. "He's just the best."

"He's an amazing chef. I literally was just filming a movie every day until 7:30 p.m. and I'd walk in the house and he would have a full spread for me," Parrish said of Farber. "I'm just very, very lucky."

As for what he cooks, she said he "makes everything" and introduced her to Russian food. "He does really great seafood, skewers, kebabs, just all of it. He's so good at cooking. It's amazing."

PEOPLE confirmed on April 9 that Parrish had split from her husband of seven years, Chris Long. The two began dating in 2016 and wed in 2018. The exes jointly filed for divorce in April. In May, she filed an uncontested dissolution of marriage in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, officially settling their split, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time.

During the June 5 event, multiple sclerosis (MS) advocate and Center Without Walls founder Nancy Davis welcomed guests to the gala, which raised over $1.8 million to benefit Race to Erase MS and its Center Without Walls program.
