Sauce Gardner has a few new fans rooting for Indianapolis!
After two New York Jets-loving brothers went viral for their despondency after the cornerback was traded to the Colts earlier this week, Gardner rewarded them for their loyalty.
"What's going on, Bryce, Trey,” Gardner, 25, said in a video shared by the team. “Just want to say I appreciate y'all for the support. With that being said, I’m gonna be giving you all two of my first Colts jerseys.”
The fourth-year player also signed the jerseys and sent footballs to the siblings, whose emotional reaction to the trade was captured by their father, T.J. Vilardi, who told them after they came home from school on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

“Now I don’t like the Jets. The Jets are the worst,” Bryce, 7, yelled and stomped his feet. “I like the Colts now!”
Gardner was also taken aback by the news, which happened at the trade deadline, but his initial reaction was more positive.
"It's a great situation for me, I feel like," Gardner told reporters, about hearing that he was Indy-bound. "I got a call from the GM from the Jets. Obviously the trade deadline was coming up, so I was just like, 'Please let it be my ideal situation.' I don't want to go to a losing team. I don't want to go to a team on the other side of the world."

Minutes later, he said he was “running in circles” around his house about joining the 7-2 team, whose dominance this season under another ex-New York-area player — former Giants quarterback Daniel Jones — was something most fans also didn’t see coming.
"When he told me the Colts … I was like, 'This is a great situation,' " Gardner said. "Obviously knowing a few guys on the team already, being closer to home, being closer to where I went to college, God just keeps blessing me in many ways. It's truly a blessing to be here. And my favorite color is blue, so it just worked out perfect."
