Nicole Kidman went through a major health scare after filming an intense wrestling scene for her upcoming Apple TV+ show, Margoâs Got Money Troubles. Even though she was battling a severe case of the flu, the dedicated actress fought through her illness to finish her scenes.
Co-star Nick Offerman opened up about the wild day during an interview withPeople. He explained how the cast was prepping to shoot a very physically demanding sequence on the morning of April 22.
âThe Word Comes In That Nicole Has The Fluâ
Offerman recalled how the crew got everything ready for the action-packed morning. âWeâre there in the morning, weâre getting warmed up â some of us are going to be performing some actual wrestling.â
However, just as filming was about to start, the crew received worrying news about their leading star. âAnd the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today,â Offerman revealed, according to OK Magazine.
The news came as a big jolt to the production, especially because they had a tight schedule to meet.
Against all odds, Kidman refused to cancel. âCome to be about 11:00 a.m., the word comes in: Nicoleâs coming.â Offerman recalled her stepping onto the set looking âso sick,â but she pushed ahead anyway to save the shoot.
âShe was so pale, shaken,â he said, describing how she looked so drained. Still, Kidman powered through like a true professional. âShe showed up and made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style,â Offerman praised.
Nicole Kidman Was Rushed to Hospital For an IV
Right after finishing the intense wrestling scene, Kidman needed immediate medical care. âShe was literally taken to the hospital for an IV,â Offerman revealed, showing the incredible lengths she went to for the project.
Kidman later admitted she had real doubts before stepping into the ring while sick. âI was so scared about getting injured,â she admitted. âWhen I got in the ring, I just went, âOK, letâs go.ââ Her determination goes back to her early acting roots in Australia, where she built a strong work ethic.

The series, Margoâs Got Money Troubles, boasts a star-studded cast featuring Michelle Pfeiffer and Elle Fanning alongside Kidman. Helmed by David E. Kelley and adapted from Rufi Thorpeâs popular book, the show promises plenty of drama.
Many fans shared their thoughts on the first trailer of the show, which was released in March. Reacting to the power-packed performances of the leads, many viewers called the show fantastic, while others slammed the storyline.
One user reacted to the trailer, writing, âOh, another movie promoting males buying womenâs bodies, making women think that itâs always a choice. So original, wow.â
Another wrote, âAnother show romanticizing high-risk side hustles instead of teaching actual financial literacy.â
âA movie about a woman forever painting herself with a child when there are other women with no kid who look better. Trash movie,â commented another.
Praising the cast, one user quipped, âThe cast alone is enough to get me to subscribe.â
