Sydney Sweeney took to Instagram to share cozy moments with boyfriend Scooter Braun, soon after enraging Swifties for taking a dig at the singer.

Sydney is currently in a relationship with music mogul Scooter Braun, with whom Taylor Swift famously had a legal battle. The actress rubbed many the wrong way when she posted a sneak peek of the newest underwear from her lingerie brand, SYRN, showcasing a pair of panties emblazoned with the words, "But daddy, I love him."

The phrase is the title of a track from Taylor's 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, prompting Swifties to immediately question whether the slogan was a subtle dig at the singer. Showing off the new range, Sydney, 28, captioned the post, "Panty packs with some of my lil sayings. Hehehe."

Many took this as a subtle dig at the pop superstar who not only has a song called "But Daddy I Love Him" but also a longstanding feud with her boyfriend, 45-year-old Scooter Braun.

One person wrote on X, "Sydney Sweeney, girlfriend to Scooter Braun, has a Taylor Swift lyric on a pair of panties that her brand is selling, 'But daddy I love him', and then she says it is one of her little sayings? Messy girl."

However, Sydney seems unbothered by all the internet discourse. In her latest Instagram photo dump, the actress is seen cuddling and engaging in goofy behavior with Scooter. Captioned, "a little aussie dump," Sydney shares snaps of the couple enjoying each other's company, and even acting out the Titanic pose on a yacht.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has had a less pleasant experience with Scooter Braun. Scooter and Taylor were locked in one of the music industry's biggest disputes after his company acquired Big Machine Label Group in 2019, giving him ownership of the master recordings for her first six albums.

Taylor said at the time she had been blindsided by the deal and accused Scooter of subjecting her to "incessant, manipulative bullying" over the years. Scooter later sold the catalogue to Shamrock Capital in a deal reportedly worth around $300 million.

After years of re-recording her albums under the "Taylor's Version" banner, Taylor finally regained ownership of her original masters in May 2025, purchasing them back from Shamrock in a deal reportedly valued at around $360 million.

Taylor celebrated publicly, stating, "All of the music I've ever made… now belongs… to me." Following the historic buyback, Scooter issued a brief public statement saying he was "happy for her."

Earlier this year, Scooter addressed the situation, claiming, "I don't know Taylor Swift."

"I think I've met her in my life three times. I have never had a substantial conversation with her in my life. I one time got invited to a private party by her. She told me she had the utmost respect for me. I told her I had the most respect for her.

"You don't spend $300 million buying a label that she's on unless you're excited at the opportunity to work with her. I will never truly understand that situation to this day, I wish her nothing but the best."
