"I know that’s a lot of numbers but it all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen," the pop megastar captioned an Instagram post on Monday, Feb. 23

"Opalite" reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, marking the first time Swift has had two No. 1 spots from the same album since 2014

Taylor Swift has something new to celebrate!

On Monday, Feb. 23, the pop megastar shared a sweet Instagram post expressing her gratitude for her fans for helping her earn two No. 1 hits from the same album for the first time since she released 1989.

"Just a few Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 #1 you guys just got this song!! I can’t even sum up my excitement and I’m so blown away by the love you’ve shown this song and video," Swift, 36, began the post, referencing the second single from her The Life of a Showgirl album, "Opalite."

She continued, "To put this into perspective… This is actually the first time I’ve had two Hot 100 #1s off of one album since my album 1989 came out in 2014, nearly twelve years ago! I know that’s a lot of numbers but it all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms."

Swift noted that she was "seriously bouncing off the walls" about the good news.

"Just wanted to say THANK YOU, might go buy a giant pretzel at the mall to celebrate, iykyk 🥨🌵🪨," she concluded.

Alongside the caption, Swift shared several behind-the-scenes footage from the making of "Opalite."

The first photo features a makeup-free video of Swift in the studio with producer Max Martin working on the hit song as she sports her natural blonde curls. The following footage features the "Wood" performer on the set of the music video, where she can be seen donning a brown wig and the 1980s-inspired costume for the shoot.

"Never in my life have I felt so myself," said Swift in the costume video, adding, "This is actually who I was meant to be."

Additional photos and videos feature Swift recording vocals for "Opalite" and celebrating with Martin, 54, and Shellback, who also produced her 12th studio album.

Earlier this month, Swift shared a series of photos from the making of her star-studded “Opalite” music video.

“I never want to forget a single detail of this hysterical shoot, and now I don’t have to!” she wrote on Instagram, adding that she was “excited” to share more of the music video with “two extended versions full of dance lessoning, our phenomenal cameos, camcorder footage, gigantic scrunchies & fanny pack angles!”

Swift added, “Parts 1 & 2 are out now at link in bio."

The music video, which premiered on Feb. 6, stars Domhnall Gleeson, Graham Norton, Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith, and features a surprise cameo from Cillian Murphy.

According to Swift, the idea for the visual came while she was a guest on The Graham Norton Show with the stars on the day her latest album dropped on Oct. 3, 2025.
