The recent reports suggest that the main lead of The Blind Side is returning to acting after a major health crisis. The actor who played the role of Big Mike was hospitalized after being diagnosed with a severe blood infection and was placed on life support in January. Nearly a week later, he also experienced a spinal stroke. For several days, he was in a coma and lost his ability to speak for nearly a month. Fortunately, since then, he has made major strides in his recovery and is now getting back on track with reported professional work.

Quinton Aaron will act in a series inspired by events from his life

Sources told TMZ that Quinton Aaron has secured a microdrama deal based on true events from his life. It’s known that it would be specifically centered around his relationship drama. The series will premiere on Atwist, a microseries platform, led by TV industry execs Jana Winograde, Susan Rovner and Lloyd Braun. Kevin Hart’s production company, Hartbeat, is teaming up with them for over 20 original microseries. Aaron’s series will consist of 60 episodes, each with a runtime of around 2-3 minutes.

Sources state that Aaron hasn’t started filming yet and is still deciding whether he wants to play a character inspired by himself. However, they said that the project is in production and that the filming may take place soon. They also added that he landed this gig via his manager, who has a connection at the company.

Following the health scare, Aaron also provided an update on where his relationship stands with his wife, Margarita DeLeon. He revealed that he hasn’t spoken to her since hospitalization and that he is grateful that the marriage was nullified.

ā€œI don’t need to speak to her ever again. Thankfully, the marriage was voided. I didn’t need to annul it because we weren’t legally married. I dodged a bullet there,ā€ he explained. In another interview, he also stated that he was shocked to discover, after waking up from the coma, that DeLeon was still legally married to her former husband (via The Grio).
