While speaking to PEOPLE, Campbell reflected on her career and revealed her favorite project thus far
Tisha Campbell has built quite a list of credits over her decades-long career, but admits there's one series that stands out from the rest.
The actress attended the premiere of Be Happy on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, joining stars like Mary J. Blige, Gabourey Sidibe, Mekhi Phifer and Russell Hornsby. At the event, she caught up with PEOPLE, revealing there is one past project in particular that still holds a special place in her heart.
“You know what my favorite project was? A series called Uncoupled that I did with Neil Patrick Harris,” the 57-year-old actress tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Along with Campbell and Harris, Uncoupled, which aired in 2022, starred Tuc Watkins, Emerson Brooks and Brooks Ashmanskas, and explored modern relationships with sharp humor.
“It was one of my favorite things I've ever done,” she admits. “The writing was fantastic."

Campbell also notes that her natural connection with Harris came from their similar experiences growing up in the entertainment industry. “I knew Neil and I, because we were both child actors, I knew we would have the most amazing chemistry,” she explains. “I hadn't met him until I did the show.”
Unfortunately, the Netflix series was cancelled after its one-season run. Reflecting on the experience, she adds, “I miss that show so much…I think it gave me a chance to exercise a different muscle in my comedy. So that was my favorite.”

Campbell’s newest film, Be Happy, produced by Blige and directed by Sidibe, centers on Val, a 50-year-old stay-at-home mom whose sense of purpose begins to slip as her youngest child leaves home and her marriage grows strained.
Married to Ross, played by Hornsby, Val finds herself questioning both her relationship and her identity. A last-minute trip to New Orleans to be there for her pregnant daughter becomes a turning point.
While there, she reconnects with her creative side and meets Peter Mosley, a charming photographer played by Phifer, who reminds her of the woman she once was.
The film is now available on Lifetime.
