Trump Shares Chart Ranking Himself as the ‘Greatest’ U.S. President Above Lincoln and Washington

Donald Trump ranked himself as “the greatest” U.S. president above Abraham Lincoln and George Washington in a recent social media post

He also placed his predecessors, Democrats Barack Obama and Joe Biden, under “failures”

Eagle-eyed social media users noted that his rankings closely resemble a 1948 Life magazine list and excludes several presidents from the 1950s to 2000s

President Donald Trump has named himself “the greatest” president of all time.

The president, 80, shared his own ranking of U.S. presidents in a new Truth Social post which organized presidents in categories from “the greatest” to “failures,” and placed himself at the top of the list.

One eagle-eyed social media user noted on X that Trump’s presidential rankings looked eerily similar to Life magazine’s ranking of U.S. presidents in 1948, but with some newer presidents added in like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Trump placed himself at the top of the ranking under the words “the greatest” while historic presidents like Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt were placed under “great.” Under the “near great” category were Grover Cleveland and Theodore Roosevelt, among others.

“Average” presidents included Clinton, John Quincy Adams, James Monroe and James Madison, among several others and “below average” presidents included Calvin Coolidge, John Tyler and Millard Fillmore.

Obama and Biden were added to the “failures” category at the bottom alongside Jimmy Carter, Ulysses S. Grant and Warren G. Harding.

However, several presidents from the 1950s - 2000s were notably absent from the list. Those absent include former Presidents George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Harry S. Truman and Lyndon B. Johnson.

He shared the list over a video from CNN showing a breakdown from a poll of “the presidents Republicans most admire.” He was listed at 53% while Reagan was at 18% and Lincoln was at 8%.

Trump’s rankings of U.S. presidents come as no surprise, as he has shared several comments criticizing both Obama and Biden in the past. In a January interview with The New York Times, he slammed his predecessor Biden calling him “the worst thing that ever happened to old people,” aside from other various digs at Biden.

The president also installed a photo of a piece of paper being signed instead of using a picture of Biden among the portraits of past presidents. “Autopen” is written underneath, along with the years of Biden’s presidential term.

Trump has also thrown several jabs at Obama, including in June when he posted an edited photo on Truth Social depicting the Obama Presidential Center as a trash can. He also shared a now-deleted racist video of Obama and his wife as apes while discussing unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud during the 2020 election and refused to apologize for the video.
