UFC White House video: Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje make weight for main event

WASHINGTON – Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje cleared a final major hurdle for their UFC Freedom 250 title unification bout by making weight on Saturday.

Undefeated lightweight champion Topuria (17-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) and interim titleholder Gaethje (27-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) will clash in the headliner of the historic card at the White House (Paramount+) when they decide the one true champion on an unprecedented stage.

Both made first had to lock in the contest by hitting the division limit at official weigh-ins from the host hotel, and they did just that, with Topuria and Gaethje each registering at 155 pounds. Gaethje came to the scale within the first few minutes of the two-hours session. Topuria stepped off and made the fight official 20 minutes into the ceremony.

The pair will face off for a final time at ceremonial weigh-ins, then they will step into the octagon Sunday on Paramount+ in the final act of the night.
