Bad Bunny may be the biggest Latin artist in the world, but he’s notoriously private when it comes to his love life.

The Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has been linked to a few women since his meteoric rise to fame, most notably Kendall Jenner. He and the supermodel briefly dated in 2023, and while they were seen out in public together a number of times, Bad Bunny never confirmed or denied their relationship.

When asked about his relationship status in a September 2023 interview with Vanity Fair, the Grammy-winning artist said he’s “not really interested in clarifying anything” for his fans about his personal life.

“They don’t know how you feel, they don’t know how you live, they don’t know anything, and I really don’t want them to know,” he explained. “I don’t have to accept anything and everything because I wanted to be an artist. At the end of the day, you listen to me because you want to. I don’t force you to.”

He’s a bit more forthcoming in his music, though he hardly ever reveals who his songs are about. “I have written songs inspired by people that people don't have a f---ing clue who they are," he told TIME in January 2025.

"The meaning of the song can vary in many things, like the absence of a person who is no longer with you, or a love. But it can be many other things too, that are no longer there,” he added of the songs on his Grammy-winning album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.

Here’s a look back at Bad Bunny’s dating history.

Carliz De La Cruz Hernández

Bad Bunny’s first known relationship was with Carliz De La Cruz Hernández, an attorney from Puerto Rico. She and the “DTMF” singer started dating in 2011 and attended the University of Puerto Rico together the following year.

Their relationship lasted several years, and they reportedly got engaged in 2016 before splitting several months later. The pair briefly rekindled their relationship in 2017 before breaking up for good.

In March 2023, Hernández sued Bad Bunny for over $40 million, alleging that he used a recording of her voice in two of his songs without her permission. According to court documents, Hernández claims that she was asked by her then-boyfriend to record herself saying, “Bad Bunny, baby,” on her phone in a bathroom in 2015. Years later, the recording allegedly appeared in the 2016 single “Pa Ti” and the 2022 hit “Dos Mil 16.”

The complaint claimed that the unauthorized use of Hernández's “distinguishable voice” has led to unwanted attention and caused her anxiety. She also alleged that a rep for Bad Bunny offered to buy the rights to the recording for $2,000, which she declined.

The case is still pending.

Gabriela Berlingeri

Around 2017, Bad Bunny began dating jewelry designer Gabriela Berlingeri. The pair met at a restaurant in Puerto Rico after one of the singer’s performances.

“It was after I sang at a Zion and Lennox concert, here in Puerto Rico. I met her at some restaurant, while I was eating with my parents and my brothers,” Bad Bunny recalled during a May 2020 interview with Rolling Stone. “We started talking and from there, we continued to see each other.”

In that same interview, Bad Bunny shared a rare glimpse into their relationship, telling the outlet: “I like to make lots of jokes … I like to make her laugh. I am always playing and always doing something crazy and fun.”

The couple dated for at least five years, and Berlingeri was even featured on “En Casita,” a track off Bad Bunny's 2020 compilation album Las Que No Iban a Salir. They kept their relationship private for the most part, though they walked the red carpet together at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

It’s unclear when exactly they broke up, but they appear to have ended things on good terms. In February 2026, Berlingeri showed support for her ex after his album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, became the first all-Spanish language album to win Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The jewelry designer reshared a photo from the Grammys’ official account on her Instagram Stories, along with another image showing several hands clinking drinks in a toast.

Kendall Jenner

Bad Bunny and Jenner were first linked in February 2023 when they were spotted leaving a dinner in Los Angeles with Justin and Hailey Bieber. A few days later, sources told PEOPLE that the pair were “spending time together.”

“They were introduced by friends. He moved to L.A. a few weeks ago and bought a house,” the insider continued, adding of Jenner: “She likes him and is having fun. He is different from guys that she dated in the past. He is very charming."

Throughout the next year, Bad Bunny and Jenner were spotted out together a handful of times, including at Coachella, a Met Gala afterparty and courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game.

After nearly a year of dating, the couple called it quits in December 2023, with sources later telling PEOPLE that the model and rapper were “not on the same page in life.”

Several months later, in May 2024, they were photographed spending time together at the Après Met 2 Met Gala afterparty. That same month, sources confirmed that the rapper and model were officially back together.

“It's going well and they're prioritizing spending time together as they figure it out," a source told PEOPLE. "There wasn't ever any drama in their breakup and they missed each other."

The reconciliation did not last long, however, and the pair no longer appear to be dating.

Bad Bunny has never spoken publicly about their relationship, but he did drop a subtle hint about their language barrier during his 2023 Vanity Fair interview. “With some people, I speak English … With one of them, I couldn’t talk to her before,” he said.
