Taylor Sheridan has struck gold once more.

On Thursday, March 26, Paramount+ announced that The Madison has become the most-watched first season of any of Sheridan's projects. The series, which is led by Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer, earned 8 million views worldwide in its first 10 days, the streamer said.

The series is also Sheridan's biggest launch "among women 35+," the streamer said in a press release. His other hit shows include Yellowstone and its spinoffs, Special Ops: Lioness and Landman.

The Madison is a "profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation" and a "heartfelt study of grief and human connection." Alongside Russell and Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Will Arnett, Kevin Zegers, Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman and Ben Schnetzer also star.

Sheridan, 55, made a rare appearance at the New York City premiere of the series on March 9. He introduced the screening, saying, "I can't stand these things, so for me to be at one means I'm really proud of the project, which I am."

"I don't make anything. I write things down and then I bring together a cast and a crew and I ask them to go make it," he said. "And trucking cameras across rivers and up mountains. So I have a chance here to do what I don't get to do often, which is call them out and thank them personally for their sacrifice and their commitment. They've done a wonderful job, and I think you'll see that on the screen."

The Madison has already filmed a second season, Russell revealed, as he told Entertainment Weekly that was the only way he could finagle taking the role due to a scheduling conflict.

“Michelle Pfeiffer and Taylor were able to get together with the people at Paramount+ and said, ‘Well, let's do two seasons instead of just one,'" he said. "'And then, before we start the second season next year, instead of doing that, we will start with Kurt's stuff. We really do want him to play the guy. And we'll get his first season out of the way first, and jam all that in there, and then go into the second season and do that.’ And so we were able to do that.”
